From the Waipi'o Valley: "Hi'ilawe"

This is me singing "Hi'ilawe", a song written in and about the Waipi'o Valley, on the Waipi'o Valley overlook. It's as close as I got to the falls. The last photo of the falls is one I grabbed off the internet. Sigh.

@wjc1952 I am just sorry I couldn't talk my family into the ride down the valley. They were more interested in finding the next malasadas or shave ice stop. For malasadas, it's got to be Tex's in Honoka'a!! Simply amazing!

i love the low g tuning.. what notes are you using? mahalo

@hawaii8 I am using standard GCEA (top to bottom) tuning. The low G makes the cheap uke sound fuller.

@Kikalani It's a magical place, which my kids found boring. So I quick set up a camera and sang this song, then snapped a few photos and we left. Oh well.
