"Scott Gibbs: KPIX TV Evening Magazine" is one of a series of four programs produced by San José State University for the Theatre Arts Department showing the daily activities of TV directors. Scott is shown editing one of his (first year) "Evening Magazine" seven-minute segments--this profiles the Winchester Mystery House in San José. The edit controller Scott uses is a Datatron 5050 (identified by April Calou).
At this time, Scott is using Sony VO-2850 Umatic tape decks to edit his program segment. SJSU is using a half-inch EIAJ-type1 2-piece Sony Porta-Pak that has been modified to allow transfer to two-inch Quad for editing. (Thanks to April Calou for identifying the decks, previously pegged as BVY-200s)
Scott is the type of person who I would enjoy working with in editing type work.

Looks like early - mid- 1970s ... Look at the dial telephone, rotary tuning televisons, top loading VCRs, and B&W picture.
