Mass Effect (PC) Part 28: Feros - Thorian's Lair P3

Part 28 from my first play-through of Mass Effect (Bioware), PC version. Heading into the Thorian's Lair, Part 3 of this boss fight. Warning: Contains spoilers. Captured with FRAPS. Class: Soldier.

Gameplay info: I'm deliberately playing ME as a shooter with fast, interruption free combat.

Incidentally, I deliberately didn't take health packs (makes combat more frantic ;), although the slowdown at times using FRAPS makes playing fairly tricky. Game runs smoothly when not using FRAPS.

god this boss is anoying right when i thought i killed her she came right back and so did those creepy things maybe i should make a new char that can use a shot gun instead of just a pistol :S

Yeah, they can be tough to kill, especially if they surround you, but the shotgun is really effective against them. It's my fav weapon, definitely, and it's fairly lethal at close range.

nice work, really! but why do u have 5 shield slots?! is it part of the armor or can i upgrade otherwise?

Thanks. The shields are part of the armor, which I bought quite early on as it has lots of shields. I also added a mod which gives even more shields. Decent shields is always good to have I've found.

What was the level of your character during the battle with the Thorian?

I opened up a save game and checked as I couldn't recall - I was level 23.

the thing I hate about those creeper things is the shields dont do anything against them. When they hit you your life goes down and the shields are like nonexistent

@runeinscapable...I just noticed that myself today. I think you can save the Thorian...if you only do enough damage on each cluster so it lands in between the 2 arrows, you can negotiate a truce. I cant find anybody who's done it though, hell I just noticed those 2 arrows today myself and I've played this game 5 times.

What i noticed on this mission is that the Asari chick is blue-ish purple-ish, but her clones are green.

That's awesome. When the Youtube loading circle appears, it fits right in the crosshairs for his shotgun.

is their anyway of saving the thorian? because on casual their are little arrows as if you need to get its health into it.... just curious =)
