Record labels are looking for the next Lil Wayne type artist to sign and promote, not an old 41 year old rapper. I'm a big fan of Mc Eiht but his time has come and gone. Mc Eiht is from another era and the young kids don't know him. On top of that Mc Eiht was never really considered a big player or top money earner in the business even in his prime, only the diehard fans (like myself) knew who he was and respected his talent. The labels never treated him like he was a star.
