Joker is the best, all hands down. The Joker is naturally evil, and he discovered how to be evil on his own terms, where Venom had to have some influence to become evil. Also, Joker's killings have a meaning, he wants to bring down Gotham city and show everyone what he sees, laughing, giggling in a corner and bleeding, but Venom has almost no purpose, all he wants to do is destroy Spiderman. Joker wants people to feel his pain, what it feels like to never be accepted in society for what he is.

i like the joker. the reason is because he is crimanly insane, i think many people think thats awesome in a villian, and as for venom, hes just infected with that goo and not as realistic, i think the fact that the joker is realistic and that someone could actually be like the joker is what attracts people to him, where as venom, well hes just a man in a suit. so, i like the joker better, seeing how he causes chaos and turns everything his way with psychology. so yeah, just my opinion

Both characters are brilliant, but I have to say that The Joker wins because he is just so much more complex than the average villain. He messes Batman around for for the heck of it, and he doesn't even have a plan! He just wings it. Plus he's been around for decades longer than Venom, so his character has had the time to develop into something that is totally unforgettable.

I mainly think Joker is the better villain because Venom.. sometimes isn't even a villain at ALL, he's had his times of anti-heroism, teaming up with Spiderman, but no matter the alignment at the time, Venom THINKS he's the hero in the story, to him he's not a villain at ALL, but that kinda what makes a good villain, a villain who thinks YOU'RE the one who's in the wrong, and he's doing whats right. But in the end, Venom is a parasite, he NEEDS someone to feed off of. All Joker needs himself.
