The opening scene of Blade Runner show Los Angeles in the future. The city looks amazing ! Computers (capable of modelling a 3D landscape) did not exist at that time, Here is how they made it in 1982 ! It is all explained by Douglas Trumbull who was directing the team behind this giant fake city !

  • @abramjessiah I know, just generalizing a bit. Still, you can tell when it's CGI as opposed to a very nicely made model or robotic monster. Compare the first Star Wars movies to the later ones, where everyone just dropped the ball on acting or scene composition.

  • If I had a nickel for every pixel in this video I would be out a nickel.

  • smoke equipment? Alright guys, everyone fire up ! cough cough. Okay quiet on the set......

  • If i had a dollar for every pixel i saw, i would have ONE dollar

  • @tixmastr crazy idea, look for it?

  • Why is this video, which is about the high detail quality of models used for the movie, in the shittiest quality? So bad, in fact, that you cant see what the hell they're talking about?

  • @DiscountPeople You should know by now to not be that guy.

  • was this filmed on a toothbrush?
