I understand weshael's comments but you are right, you have to start somewhere and I thought it was pretty good. We can't suddenly play like Bill Broonzy, that's why he's a blues legend.
Thanks for posting.

I'm not an admirer of Mr. Grossman's arrangements. They remove the passion from the piece and attempt to replace it with pristeen playing. This gentleman plays the arrangement well. Thank you, sir for posting it. However, if you aspire to greatness, listen to Broonzy's version. Listen a 1000 times, if that's what it takes to get his playing under your fingers. You'll have learnt a lesson more valuable then any tuitional book or DVD. Good luck!

I take your point. I have heard Broonzy's version and it has a natural, bluezy quality to it. However I find Stefan Grossman's tabs and DVDs are useful, as an entry to a tune. But that's just the start -- tunes are works-in-progress and to really master them and develop one's own style, I agree that you have to listen to the masters and advance towards that perfection of playing. I'm still listening, by the way. Thanks for your comments!
