Consider that Big Corn received $51 billion in government handouts from 1995 to 2005. FIFTY ONE BILLION. That's just for ethanol, a fuel four times less efficient than gasoline that is just as pollutive and takes up an irrational amount of land to produce. Our first cuts in spending should go to corporate welfare and government subsidies to Big Oil, the auto manufacturers, and the big farming companies.
He doesn't say he'd arrange for them getting $400,000, he says he'd arrange for $400,000 in life insurance. There's a big difference! I pay approximately $20/month for $100,000 in life insurance. It would be cheaper for young soldiers, and cheaper because it would be bought in bulk.
Maybe if we insure our fighting men and women for so much, the government will think twice before sending them into unnecessary wars. Keep on Mr. Richardson.
How can't we afford this? These people are going into combat for us! Maybe you ought to join yourself and see if you're OK with the $12K. The money is there. If we can cover the regular military, we can cover the rest, too.
Considering how much money Mr. Bush is putting into the "War on Terror", I believe that the United States would be able to afford to help provide for the brave men and women who have served our country. I support Richardson 100%
You can watch the video conversation presented on Google, which is also in my channel. I think you can find your answer there.

Consider that one B-52 bomber takes $100,000 to fuel. Once.
