  • Dunno exactly but my guess would be some kind of pine- or poplar-wood.

Annywayz, good thing hes protective footwear.

    ^-^

  • First log is oak. Then it goes back and forth from yellow poplar and aspen.

  • I've answered a fire call where someone mis-judged it, and split his foot lengthwise, in a logging boot.

  • This is just beautiful

  • @TS175 It's called a KEECH racing Axe. It's made specifically for wood cutting competitions. Like a lumberjack sport. The same way special bows are made for olympic archery, and special guns for speed shooting. A racing Axe is far more expensive than a normal one,and it's blade is planed to bite as deep as possible into the wood and it's shaving sharp. They are hand made axes. Pretty much the best wood cutting axe you can buy.

  • What were the axes used in this video?

  • that axe just eats that wood like its a appetizer

  • @HedgehogChopper alot of the old fellas over here in n.z don't wear them, but I'm still young, I would like to have my feet for a while haha.

  • A Good axeman knows how to judge distance and keeps his feet safe, nice chopping man, beautiful axe as well.

  • Woah that axe came within millimetres of your foot several times!

  • Awesome!
