Now, I've never taken lessons at a Visual and Performing Arts Academy. Well...not really. Anyways, I would think that one of the classes that you might have taken talks about that if you have a big stage, you should use the whole of it to interact with your audience. Then again, I could be totally wrong.

Upsides: This is like a spot on performance. Right notes, right timing, very nice.
Downside: Very...technical. I think that it works great, IF you're a session singer, and people can't see you (well...other than the producer). Have some FUNNN with it. Come on! You're singing about how great it is to be awake and alive and even in the words. It's lively! Full of life. Happy! (High from hairspray fumes!)
Misc: Very pretty dress.

Even on obviously an amateur video your singing sounds better than some proffesional production performances.
