Who cares what he's playing, he sounds like a beast regardless.

And Tommy Igoe...simply wow. As close to buddy as can be. Really makes you feel like you're listening to Buddy's big band reincarnated. Awesome stuff.

Having said that all that...DW can NOT be touched for their hardware. Seriously SERIOUSLY good stuff. Only hardware I'll ever play. NO ONE comes or will ever come close to DW for hardware. Fact. DW hardware is just beautiful.
-
Depends what you want the drums for..."a lot of working musicians out there"...actually use Ludwig. Nothing touches them studio or live. DW...look nice...in fact they don't even look nice. Worst drums in history, way over rated. Way WAY over rated. I've never heard a DW sound anything but SHIT! Their performance series are about the best drums they've ever made. Good, well made affordable drums.

I'm a ludwig classic maple man myself and I don't think these Yammies have the presence of a high end Luddy nor do I think a Yam kit will ever say what a Luddy says but these drums definitely look and sound very VERY good!! Well done Yamaha. I may just have2have me one of them.

@MrTconga Tommy Igoe now endorses Yamaha acoustic drums? Damn, now he should also endorses Yamaha electronic drums, not Roland electronic drums.
-
the man is an absolute demon!
@MrTconga Indeed, DW are just Gucci-drums.

@JamonjiCahillibongo The Only Hardware to really fail me at a Gig.....sadly was DW! Yamaha´s Stands are superior! The only reliable DW Product I use are the Pedals!
