  • Hi, thanks for this! Is there any chance you could post a video or describe the movement that happens when the needle catches the bobbin thread and pulls it up? I have this model but in spite of threading it up properly the needle doesnt catch the lower thread, the bobbin hardly moves when i turn the handwheel so im wondering whether theres a fault with the machine, i just wanted to see one working properly so i could compare!

  • @mustard399 Sorry I missed seeing the video. I'll see if I can get a video of the bobbin area working this weekend.

  • Thank you for posting these treadle videos! I just got a 1920's model 66 treadle and although I have he manual, it's no replacement for actually seeing someone work with the machine! Thanks!

  • @mellowknees You are quite welcome! I did forget to say that the thread needs to be coming off the top of the bobbin, so that when pulled it moved the bobbin counter-clockwise, hopefully that's visible in the video.
