  • This clip is potentially confusing to a new orchid grower. It uses only the general term "orchid" and implies that all orchids can be cared for in this way. That is not correct. The info in this clip is specific to one kind of orchid, a Phalaenopsis and the care instructions given are for Phalaenopsis. Unfortunately they don't tell you that. Some orchids would die if given the kind of care recommended in the clip.

  • This video is really good advice for those kinds of orchids, but we have to remember that there are many kinds of orchids and some of this information is actually false for the broad classification "orchids".

  • o_O wow keep and orchids and give me one of her!!

  • The instructions I got with our Orchid was to prune back down five nodes. Unfortunately the video had nothing about pruning back or winter care.

  • i love orchids great vid thanks...although not so easy to take care of after all..north east sun spray everyday every other feeding us fertilizer wow. its basically the same care for African violets. I like to soak them in a container of water for a couple mins then drain. I love tropical plans and use to live in Louisiana. m now in tucson and after ample tropical plant casualties I just went with dessert sun loving plants.

  • He's got the best job in the world!

  • when ever you see that the plant need a more room to grow beside after repott you should use physan to prevent the plant getting disease also make sure every tool you've used must be clean with alcohol and make sure the plastic pot got a hole so plant need air to try out if the water still trap inside you may got a rott root even lost you're plant. Good Luck
