This is the birth of our second son on June 30th 2009. Born in beautiful Germany (husband stationed here for Air Force) I had my first baby at the age of 20. I didn't ask any question or educate myself. I was young, scared, and did what the doctor said. It was a great completely pain-free birth but it left me feeling as if I cheated the whole process. I wanted to really experience it the next time around and that is exactly what I did. This was a very empowering experience as a woman and I would do it all over again in a heart beat. :)

If anyone has ANY questions for me, I would more than happy to answer them! :]

  • Gorgeous boys!

  • @faylew1012 Thank you. :]

  • Thank you for sharing. I am due July 2012 with our first child and we too are stationed in Germany (Bamberg). I've been kind of scared of the whole birthing process but have heard many great advantages to having a water birth. Btw, I have to agree you are the most beautiful woman giving labor..I can only hope I look a fraction of what you did. :)

  • @KimberlyBurd Aw, you're too sweet. Thank you very much! I wish you the best of luck.. Germany (if delivering off base) is a wonderful place to have a baby! :)

  • @AshleyCabana Aww you're so close!!! Are you giving birth at the kilnikum? Doing a water birth?

  • *-*

    so sweet -3!

  • @KimberlyBurd I'm stationed in Bamberg as well! Due April 3rd!

  • @cmorrison80 I chose to deliver in the water because I had read numerous times how it takes the edge of contractions, relaxes you and is a gentle environment for a baby to be born into it. And it sure was.. Dylan barely cried and although that kind of alarmed me the midwives kept saying "water babies are happy babies".
