A short demo of my upcoming API "SkyMonome" written in Java language. Here, the program drives the Monome with a 6-step sequencer, and then play on microkorg via Midi.
When I released this video, the microkorg was not a Midi controller and the recorded sound was captured by a Minidisc recorder plugged into the standard output line of the microkorg.
last question, how did you not use the microkorg as just a midi controller but its real sounds when you hooked it up to the computer? do you use a program?
wow that was what i have been looking for i was hoping it could do that hehe. but the keys arent pressing down like the nin video but it doesnt matter lol.
No, I didn't use any keyboard at all. That's only Monome (and its program) that send notes va Midi. MicroKorg plays notes passively. Then, on the video, I changed some parameters "in live".
@AKIDPRODUCTION09 then buy a novation launchpad, exactly the same if u can program

On the nin video, they put mechanisms to play real notes on a piano ! A synthesizer is electronic, you have just a Midi cable. Wonderful technology !

how did you do the keyboard samples? did you play them yourself before hand? and then sampled them?

Yes I think mbox 2 will be detected the same way as my midisport box.
If you want to run the same program on Monome, take "Itlum" on the SkyMonome official website.
You need Java 5 or 6, but it works very bad on Mac due to a poor integration of Java on Mac OS...
Works fine on Windows.
