@Frank289100 Communism and atheism are not the same thing at all. Atheism merely states that there are no deities. It makes no claim as to how societies should be economically structured. As for preachers and money - none are more "in it for the money" than America's televangelists who sell religion like Baskin-Robbins sells ice cream. My sense of empathy prevents me from wrong doing and murder - perhaps religious policing by a divine overseer is a good thing for selfish, inconsiderate people.

Stalin rose to power during the revolution under Lenins govornment and then secured his position by purging all opposing politicians. He then massacred people who objected about his methods, govornship as well as any protestants of the food crises that harrowed russia at the time. It had nothing to do with atheism.

@byatora Stalin had something called the iron train. People of faith were the one's who resisted him. They were fighting to keep there belief system being Christians and Jews. Anybody who did not join him which meant giving up there faith paid the price. He would send this iron train out which was full of cannons and decimate villages all over Russia. This was an Atheist holocaust of 25,000,000. Most of them being Christians.Religion was not allowed you would be killed for it.
