Heritage "C" Lead Painted Steeldrum/Pan by Steve Lawrie

This is an example of the Painted/Powdercoated Heritage Series pans that I make. The pan is made on a regular size 22.5" barrel. This particular pan is powdercoated, although they are available painted or chromed. The Heritage Series is primarily intended for students and school or college bands, but would also serve a professional player well.

The pan was recorded using two Shure PG57 mics on booms just off-camera over the pan (that's what made the shadow in the drum). The mics go into a Tascam USB Audio interface. There is no post processing on the audio, the sound you are hearing is exactly what went into the microphones.
