I'll tell you one thing: you brag about throwing 30mph on a spare shot, you'd better frickin' make the spare shot. Kudos on that.
I can't get my stopwatch to clock it right, but if I count on my own or average it out, it's around 1.5 seconds from release to impact. That makes the shot mid-20s at most in mph (probably about 24). People underestimate how tough it is to crank one. My best was somewhere in the mid-20s, but I was using an 11.5 pound spare ball, so I don't take much credit for it.

based on average time trials, and some minor conversions, this speed averages around 25.73 mph.
being that it took 1.59 (avg) seconds for the ball to travel the lane from release till the pin is hit.
for 40mph it would require traveling the entire lane in almost 1 second flat
