@rrpostalagain Any low cost mods can make to my 88 XR7 to give it a little extra umph. Black & identical to one in video w/32,000 on it now. Bought year ago with 19,000 on it.
@DWhytePA I purchased an 88 Cougar XR7 new. It was Blood Red with the red color keyed wheels. Loved that car. Ran it for 160,000 miles & kept after any little problems as they popped up. Sold it & it's still running around. No rust yet. Then purchased another last year identical to one that's in the video with 19,000 on it. No rust, but new rotors, calipers, struts, shocks, tires. Sharp & drives like a dream. Hope to keep forever now.
Nice car! I had the same model and drove it til it had about 157k on it. Body was falling apart..rust..windshield leaked but it was mechanically sound. Driving a pearl white '96 T-Bird now...love it! The Cougar had those fat performance tires on them...handled terribly on wet roads..nevermind the snow!
Ever think of selling it?

This Cougar lost clean, just like showroom condition. It's totally stock?

@MrWelkeej Well sure. That was a 5liter right? Probably the most popular ford engine to mod for 30 years. Not really the point, though.

I like the 87-88 Cougars but I prefer my 85 XR-7. Nice look black with the Stang turbines tho.
