The illusion of walking. 1/24/07. Neuro opinions are that the leg movement is spinal walking, a rocking of the hips & back to swing the legs. The feet lifting is a an activation of local reflex arcs due to the stimulation of the cold snow. Clark did not have deep pain sensation before or after surgery. Nerves are very slow healing, could this be peripheral nerve/spinal cord connection. Time will tell.

  • Is he able to walk without the wheels now?

  • Clark still needs his wheelchair to do all the fun stuff in life he used to do before his injury. Mile walks, chasing his sister, keeping up with his friends as they survey and sniff their territory.

  • Yay Clark!! That looks a lot like what my boy does, but I cant keep Nonos legs in the foot rest on the cart, he kicks and pulls them out. Yet when he's in his wheels he doesnt always correct knuckled feet, however, he looks like he is marching when he is in a good position, its so great to see any movement in a downd dog!

  • Yeah Clark!!!
