Video project for my English class about living with disabilities. My group chose degenerative myopia, a condition which affects 2% of all Americans who are going blind. We created this video in an effort to show not only what life would be like for someone who had it, but how it can effect their everyday life and the lives of those around them. Shown in HD.
Thanks for doing this. My mother has this and its been a struggle lately to see her progressing in her disease.

Michael,
As a fellow high myopic 'degenerate', kudos to your courage and drive to continue on. All the best...

Cool video. I've been living with degenerative myopia all my life and I'm 51-years-old now. I was told that I would be blind within 3-5 years back in 1983. I did some research and I found a doctor, Dr. Frank Thompson, in San Gabriel, CA who did a controversial surgery, scleral reinforcement. I had the procedure done on both my eyes and today, my right eye can see 20/25. Last year my left eye fell victim to a blood hemorrhage and I have no center vision in that eye.
