  • Ive got the T2I and I have the stock lens can I do Manual focus cause it wont work when I try to please help

  • @XEJ21 Hi, I have the exact same setup and manual focus should work fine. You have to set the lens to MF and that's pretty much it. If the lens doesn't manually focus, it's probably a lens issue. Also, anytime something isn't working the way it should be, I like to reset all camera and custom functions back to default. You can do that via the setup menu. I hope that helps.

  • @lbguides I tried everything but I saw in your video that you were turning the MF ring I dont have that on my Stock lens were can I get one that has that for my T2I

  • @XEJ21 Hi, You're right the stock lens doesn't have the same kind of focus ring as the lens I'm using in the video. With the 18-55, the focus ring is the front of the lens where you thread filters. If the focus switch is set to MF, you'll be able to turn it and manually focus the lens.

  • i have the standard lens how come every time i manually focus it perfectly after i take the pic it never in focus but it always off significantly

  • This is something I've never run into before. I'm really not sure why that's happening. You may want to try a different lens to see if that helps. If not, than you know it's a body issue. What happens when you auto focus, is the picture sharp? Are you using the viewfinder or the live view mode? We can try figuring this out via email if you prefer.
