WHAT:
In honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, we will be hosting a benefit talent show. Proceeds from this event will be donated to OCAPICA.

WHO WE'RE HELPING:
The Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance was established in 1997 with the mission to build a healthier and stronger community by enhancing the well-being of Asians and Pacific Islanders through inclusive partnerships in the areas of service, education, advocacy, organizing, and research. The community-driven activities seek to empower Asians and Pacific Islanders in defining and controlling their lives and the future of their community.

OCAPICA's main focus is to assist low-income families in the Asian and Pacifc Islander and other communities through a variety of programs for children and adults. OCAPICA strives to be an active aid in the Asian and Pacific Islander community, and provides a safe- haven for all ages to find the assistance and support they deserve.

They especially look to assist the youth in the API community who are homeless, drug-addicted, depressed, or otherwise unable to provide themselves with the tools they need to succeed in life. OCAPICA provides programs such as SAT prep courses, after-school tutoring, financial assistance, and other means of helping the youth to persevere in their education and continue on to a better future.
