Ken "the rat" Linseman should have kept his mouth shut. Nilan whacked him lol

Fred Cusick not John Cusack. And yes he was the best.

@trevorirwin41 Chris Nilan would have chewed up Jay Miller and spit him out!
-
@otto1313 Don't forget that the quebec Nordiques had initially drafted Jay Miller and played his first 2 seasons there.

Ah, the old-school years of hockey. Players hauling off like they want to eat each other and their families...Man, what a rush!
-
If Nilan would of connected with that punch...ouch

This 1986 brawl was insane! I'm ranking the Top 5 NHL Brawls and this is # 2 on my list 'cause it resulted in a major change as far as where the teams' benches were located. For a long time, the visiting team's bench was on the near side of the ice right of centre ice & the Bruins's bench was on the far side. A year or 2 afterward both teams' benches had to be on the same side. [Le Forum in Montreal was also effected by this change, too.]
why don't teams fight like this anymore? is there a rule to not start a brawl??

yup, first player off the bench gets 10 game suspension automatically

lucic has fought within the best of the fighter's code but when he fought jordan bendfeld twice on the way to winning the Memorial Cup in his hometown, in the rink less than 15 minutes from where he grew up , first , he avenged a pre-arranged jumping of the G-men's leading play-off scorer and WJC gold medal winner, kendall mcardle , and followed up with MVP winning shift that capped with beating down bendfeld even better the 2nd time
Lucic is the man in the 604 area code
