Yes, but through the entire Cold War, we weren't dealing with people who themselves didn't care if the lived or not. Like the Kamikaze, Islamofascists will kill themselves in order to kill us. Big difference. Cold War? Heck, many libs didn't think it existed. I guess that puts you ahead slightly in the "shocking ignorance" category.
