A pretty rainy song by the Beach Boys from the M.I.U. album from 1978.

  • MIU really isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be

  • I've always maintained that MIU, is --far from what critics say--was very good, indeed, a thousand times better than " love you" or " big ones".--both of which are with the exception of a couple offerings, unlistenable. Despite the critics, this album had good music on it, & this is one! so much for " CRITICS" !!! Wolfsky9

  • @ThePeacepoet What you have said is true but something needs to be added. David Marks was Al Jardine's replacement while Al was in college to get his D.D.S.

  • Not over or under produced, and Brian is clearly present both in arrangement (interlocking harmonies & sleigh bells) and voices, with his falsetto sort of restored for a brief time. Could have been on Sunflower, in a good way!

  • @bchbys Would've been an early concert photo. The experst will know when, Yep, Brian was MIA even in those days.

  • I like the song, but not the title. I think a better title would be... "Listen to the rain".

  • I like this little diddy, but the MIU LP certainly wasn't going to fly commercially with all of the old sounding voices. Even Johnston said they sounded like a bunch old men. Don't get me wrong, I'll sing along with ANY BB song and there is always some gold nugget in there somewhere. This was 1978, if I remember correclty ? Was this going to get them back on the airwaves ??

  • This is one of the best from MIU, one of the leastappreciated of the BB's works; I love the album & always did. Critics werereally hard on it, but what do they know? Let them try --just once. Great harmonies, & counter voices as only the BB's could do . Wolfsky9

  • Drip Drip Drip

  • I think its a picture of the then touring band. Brian didnt always tour of course and I read a recent interview with Al saying that despite many people believing he was davids replacment they were actually in the band at the same time at one point, Dont know dates though.
