the US government told that they'd thought this flight was military air plane but it's ridicules because the size of fighter plane is so different from airliner.

We are the U.S. We have the right to protect our warships, as well as our citizens... We obviously meant no harm to Iran or it's people, and it appeared that those boats were threatening Americans, and America's Navy.
