Autodesk Inventor 2012 sets new standards for 3D modeling ease of use, providing the most straightforward ways to define and modify parts and assemblies. Autodesk Inventor 2012 ease-of-use enhancements include:

Inventor Fusion—Use simple-to-learn tools to explore new shapes, forms, and modify anything in the 3D CAD model from virtually any source.

Marking menu—Reduce mouse travel and streamline model creation by keeping access to the most common modeling commands and options at your cursor.

Upgraded direct manipulation—Get more control over geometry creation without sacrificing productivity

Improved design feature creation—Get improved design speed and improved control over shape characteristics, including G2 patch, G2 variable radius fillet, boss, and ribs.

  • I've been using Inventor professionally since ver. 10 (2005) , and frankly I don't think much of the new updates. They do bring new (and sometimes usable) features to the show, but all the User Interface improvements are silly. They make it a little more pretty for the newbie, but you'll never beat the speed of keyboard shortcuts with UI.

  • i love inventor. im a junior in highschool and i engineered and assembeled the whole robot for my bots iq team. really is great. learing how to use solid works too. pretty much the same concept.

  • SOLIDWORKS !!!!!

  • @TheTrxracer hey me too! what class? IM in IED

  • im thinking that inventor fusion is a good tool for organic modeling that can be imported into revit architecture..cause revit modeling is a pain in the ass................ i hope it works...........i will try.

maybe we should get parametric fusion for revit...!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm working with the Inventor 2010 in my company and I think Inventor is not as good as Pro Engineer.

  • i have this software for free and its not the trial version and the best part is, i didnt buy it!

  • FREE FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS!

  • I use this in my 9th tech class i really like it, i think it is a lot easier than CADKEY
