This is my Redcat Rampage XT (5th scale 4x4, 30.5cc engine) doing some small jumps. Recorded on my friend's iPhone. Thanks Mikey! Had to do some video editing so these clips did lose some quality.
@wheelyking23 Just like the nitros... you break stuff, fix it, break it again. Money pits. These motors are awesome. Once it's broke in, very little tuning required if any at all. That's why I sold my nitro and bought a gasser. So far I broke the exhaust, front bumper and a pin in one of the rear axles. I bent the rear shock tower but not too bad, it's still working fine. I've replaced the servos and I've got a new TX/RX system on the way. The tire foams are already dust too.
@IVIayhem ya i heard lots about the servos that they are junk like what do u mean by money pits are they easy to break? how is the motor in them are they easy to start and are they much to tune. thats the one reason i wanted the redcat is because of the 4x4. how would you compare it to a nitro truck? because i want to get out of nitro and go to the 1/5 but you have me thinking twice about that lol i like jumping and mudding and bashing the most. how much did you have to spend to get it up to par
@wheelyking23 I love the 4 wheel drive. To be honest, the quality isn't all that good so you'll spend some money getting it up to par (servos at least). These things are money pits in any case, no matter which brand you buy. If HPI made a 4x4, I would have probably bought one of theirs because of the higher quality and large aftermarket following. I'm having a lot of fun with it though and if you like climbing like I do, go with a 4x4.
