@majomanak I want you to understand me correctly - orchestras in DPP are perfect. But the guys haven't done their best. Listen to this video, Emppu plays beautifull solo (finally!) - but do you really don't hear that in DPP he was much worse (there isn't even one good solo in this album!)? That Tuomas' parts are as simple as it's possible? And that Marco's got problems with his voice while singing live much more often than in the previous tours?

@majomanak Maybe I'm not a huge expert but allow me to say that I know "something" about music. Orchestras don't automaticaly make the album good - in my country we've got a composer who uses a lot of orchestra but everyone see his music is just a commercial pop.
There're plenty of good ideas in DPP, but wasted. tP&tP is good, (yet Ghost Love Score is way better) but what can you say about music in tracks like Amaranth, BBB, FtHIOH, CoHLB, MPG etc? You can like it, but it's nothing ambitious.

I hate it when people who know NOTHING about singing on a technical level are comparing Anette to Britney! Britney would be happy if she could even be half as good a singer as Anette is! For a non-operatic voice, Anette's is very, very good and diverse! There are plenty of beloved metal bands with MALE singers technically as good as Anette, but no one questions them becuase they are not women (and the metal scene is dominated by males).

Hmm...her voice was higher in this version, but very clear sounding. I love her version of this song, but the beginning in the original is just SO epic. Maybe I'm glad she didn't try it... haha.
I would love if they recorded some of these remakes with arrangements to fit her voice. I think Anette could throw in some creative vocalization at the beginning. :)
