Smith has too stone or something like that, he forgot the firsts verses. This band is amazing, their sound is unique. Thanx for share it!
-
@gnzvideos - i'm pretty well versed in Cure history, and don't recall ever hearing about him. he couldn't have been around very long. thanks for the info. always love learning tidbits about my favorite bands.

The 'new' Cure drummer, called Jason Cooper, is the worst drummer ever!!!
Robert should bring Andy or Boris back!!!!
-
@MrWhiskeytangofoxtro yes, the bassist is called Norman (I mispelled his name and wrote 'Normal') I think I prefer him to Phil and probably Simon! (nooo sacrilegious!!!) but the truth is that Norman Fisher is a guy with lots of solo projects and whose personality would have crashed with Robert's... maybe they crashed after all and that's why he is not mentioned often...

@MrWhiskeytangofoxtro The bass player is Norman Fisher-Jones is not Thornally for this concert
-
@gnzvideos - I believe that is Phil Thornally. This album and tour were done without Simon Gallup (the only time he wasn't the bassist since he joined in 1979). Simon quit after Pornography, but was back in by The Head On The Door... and I just realised what a nerd I sound like... haha.

Normal, the bassist, filled up the space left by the guitarless Robert Smith... cool!
-
2:04. That bassist is just too fucking cool, haha.
-
Seriously have to agree with you there.

This is fucking amazing. Everyone is spot on. Sound is great. Go go chorus/flanger overload! Love the sound.
The Cure sounded powerful and different to any other band from 1980-1992. The rhythmic section was powerful and driven by great bassists (Phil, Norman, Simon) and extraordinary drummers (Steven Goulding, Andy, Boris and Lawrence too!).
Nowadays Jason is not able to keep the feeling of Robert's songs and it's my opinion that Simon deserves a better companion.
