The incomparable Sam & Dave, perhaps the best live act that has ever existed, live in Offenbach, Germany, 1967. Unbelievably joyous performance, the kind of live show that just doesn't exist anymore. Broadcast features a few guest musicians, including Linda Carr, Arthur Conley, and Lee Dorsey playing some tunes backed by the Sam & Dave orchestra. They're worth watching too.
Let's get soulful.

Back in '63 I got steady work in clubs. I have heard everybody and everything. I had no idea Sam and Dave were so Great. The James and Bobby Purify version was excellent, but this cut has and will not have, an equal. There is almost no correlation between their 45's and this live cut. Just, "Simply the Best".

perhaps two of the greatest voices that ever got behind the Mic. These guys made a variety of songs that stood the test, and we all loved and enjoyed them. I'm thankful to say i came up with this kind of stuff ,rather than the horrible junk that's out there today ; listening to this was a breath of fresh air ,Thanks for posting.

This has got me feeling some kinda way that i can't put into exact words. These guys were powerful and convicted by the lyrics....not just singing to be singing. That is why they were able to move people.....unlike the acts of today.

Wow........again I have goose bumps! What voices!!!! This is what I miss from today's music. This was out of this world ridiculously good!!!!!! They both sing with power and yet they harmonize so easily and their voices compliment each other. Wow.............that was wonderful.
