In 1963 (4 years after he ESCAPED from Tibet with his life)
HH the Dalai Lama presented a draft democratic constitution for Tibet.
.
In 2001 the first direct democratic elections were held by the Tibetan people for the post of Kalon Tripa (Senior Minister) in the history of Tibet.
I can strongly recommend reading "Murder in the High Himalaya" by Jonathan Green, published in 2010. He's a US citizen who went to Tibet, did extensive research and knows what he's talking about.

You've been fooled by CCP propaganda and Lies. Tibet was NEVER part of China before 1951.
To see why Tibet did not become part of China during the Mongol Yuan Dynasty
and
Relations Between The Dalai Lamas of Tibet and the Manchu Qing Dynasty do not show that Tibet was Part Of China

Tibet is part of the People's Republic of China, and inherited Tibet as the successor of The Empire of the Great Qing of China and the Republic of China on the Mainland.

Thanks. I'm probably one of the chosen few foreigners who's actually been to tibet and have made my own conclusions free of all propaganda despite some idiots claiming i'm secretly a hu jintao supporter.
