Had a chance to see her at Cork Jazz Festival about 10 yrs ago, she blew me away one of the finest pianists on the planet and a great trio here.

I'm back to get another listen to this excellent performance by Renee Rosnes and the group of this Monk classic. BTW, since her marital status was brought up, she married jazz pianist Bill Charlap in 2007 and they have released a highly-regarded duo jazz recording called "Double Portrait". Enjoy!

Wonderful powerful pianist!. I read an article on her...she has perfect pitch, plays since a little girl. Drummer Drummond is (at leas was, so far as I recall) her husband.

Excellent performance of this Thelonious Monk 'finger-busting' classic by the formidable Renee Rosnes trio on the sorely-missed (by jazz fans) "BET on Jazz" TV channel. Renee (pronounced REE-nie) is inventive, explosive, and very facile with excellent rhythmic support. I love the way she rarely even looks at the keys.
