In this clip Rufino applies the finishing touches to a red oak head board. The solid oak rail at the top of the head board was cut with a band saw from a solid plank of red oak and then plowed to receive the head board. It has been glued and clamped together with two square section, solid oak legs. The legs were glued up for mass and stability and shaped with beaded corners, with a router. The whole assembly is being sanded and will set up over night before multiple coats of finish are applied, starting tomorrow.
