Well done, Nigel. There is no substitute for great materials and great workmanship.
As to synthpathetic's question, you need to be stubborn to learn to play one of these. They typically have the same scale length as a full size guitar, but are tuned (mostly) in fifths. I would guess this one is tuned GDAD.
