A bunch of AZ PPG pilots got together at the Pleasant Valley Airport in north west Phoenix for some perfect winter flying. Jeff Goin was in town and there were about 10 pilots in all that showed up. Some flew long XCs while others just enjoyed the mild winter weather and had a ball. Enjoy this short video of what I captured as I chased Jeff Goin, Tim Kaiser and Sean Buckner around the area.

  • It's so nice watching a ppg video that doesn't have Superputz in it.

  • Dell is a good guy, everyone has their quirks, good characteristics and those that some just don't understand. Dell's videos are looking good these days, he's got a good camera and flying more than anyone I know. Thanks for the good comment on the video!

  • @Aerosmacked I disagree. Bashing other guys because they don't sell Flat Tops is not the mark of a good guy. Habitually lying about personal achievements is not the mark of a good guy. Dell has some serious issues that are way beyond quirks. He has some good videos (when he's not screaming "wooohooo") and he's a talented ppg pilot. But he's very immature and dishonest.

  • I've never had any problems with him, he's always provided me with top notch, quick and reliable customer service. I look past the goofy sales pitches and "woohoo's" and see that he does have good stuff to offer those that choose to receive it. There are lots of people in the PPG business who are way more immature and dishonest if you get out there and meet them and see their business ethics.

I look forward to seeing some videos from you someday!

  • @Aerosmacked Thanks for the reply. If I ever have the opportunity to met Dell personally I hope I can look past my first impressions of him. I have spent a great deal of time on his website looking over the products he sells. At this time I cannot bring myself to support his business mostly because of the way he behaves. He should let the merits of Flat Top speak for itself instead of continually bad-mouthing everyone else. It's unprofessional. Childish.

  • raginh8r you are right on with that. There is no question Dell has done some really stupid things with his keyboard in forums and lists and has hurt people with what he says. We are all adults and should act like it and yes, let the product speak for itself or at least let the customers who purchased the product do the advertising for you. No one likes a self-proclaimed world record holding expert telling them "buy this or you will die everything else sucks."

  • Very cool video! I enjoy yours. I stumbled upon them and realized where you were flying and was amazed to see that was where I learned, only in early November!

You and I met one evening when you flew and I had just done my second or third flight. I had the yellow Eden 4 and Fantom.

Question: How are you holding the camera when filming Jeff and others? By hand? Or helmet mount? I'd love to see a pic of the mount if that's what it is.
