This is our 2010 Strunk and White video for Language arts class at Central High School.

LYRICS:
Today my essay is due
I need to get this thing done right now
Ive tried but nothing is working
I forgot
I cant do this on my own
I need something to help me
I need help, Strunk and White!

Write! So we can get through this now
Dont! Break sentences in two
And rule six can
help you get through this
Do not break sentences in two

(ohhh, ohhh)

Last night I played Call of Duty
I forgot
That I had this essay due
Oh crap
This is worth half my grade
I need something to help me
I need help, Strunk and White!

Write! So we can get through this now
Dont! Break sentences in two
And rule six can
help you get through this
Do not break sentences in two

And rule six can
help you get through this
Do (do) not break (not break)
sentences in two

Write! So we can get through this now
Dont! Break sentences in two
And rule six can
help you get through this
Do not break sentences in two

  • I remember this video now as my LA teacher this year brought it up already that we were doing it again this year. Now ya got competition. I near professional video editor (me) and a freerunner (also me) =D Let the most professional looking flashy video with catchy lyrics win!

  • @Zarek49 well good luck with that. you will probably win, because we aren't doing the strunk and white video this year. we are doing the TAG movie. good luck!

  • @bmwooden13 Thanks man. So you're doing a TAG video this year? Never even heard it mentioned before, what exactly is it?

  • @Zarek49 the TAG video is a different assignment. If you're unfamiliar with the TAG class, you can ask Mr. Haskey about it but the assignment is all throughout the 4th quarter. And its a film of anything you want, the only requirement is 15 minutes long. But you also have to print the script, give him the cast and crew list, make a poster for it... etc. There are many options open and i think we will make a good film that way.

  • @bmwooden13 I believe my friend is in that class. Sounds like a pretty cool assignment. If you need any help with that poster yo can send me a message and I will see what all I can do. I have a program called Adobe Aftereffects CS5. It is pretty freaking amazing. For long length videos though I would recommend getting Adobe Premier CS5 along with Sony Vegas Pro 9.0. I have the 64-bit version which most Windows 7 or Windows Vista users can run. Hope that helps any. =)

  • @Zarek49 thanks dude. i wish i could get After Effects CS5 but i dont have the money right now. My mom is getting me a macbook pro though and i think its coming with Final Cut Express. I cant wait to edit video on a mac rather than a pc.. haha

  • @bmwooden13 I have yet to see that program. I think editing videos with a mac would be a pain. Just due to the lack of memory it could have. My computer currently has 1070 gigs of memory. Plus about 20+ more gigs available through flash drives. Plus, I haven't tried it yet, but it might work, you would have to shell out a little extra for a wireless mouse. For efficiency really. "I heard you like Macs, so I only put one pedal in your car."
