Barends!!! People always look at my bike funny at the trails. Ive had barends as long as i can remember, got it from my dad i guess, since he always had em. Tried riding without and I just felt naked and unconfortable lol. Whats your technique for climbing like that?

@xOVERLOADEDx Ha yea agree on the barends. IMO they give you a bigger traction sweet spot (between wheelie and wheel spin) and more leverage. Technical climbing in order of importance IMHO: 1. Fitness 2. Fitness 3. Fitness 4. Finesse (a good feel for momentum, traction and balance) 5. Line

Yea, new bike but IMO those are the best handlebars ever made and there will always be a pair on my mountain bike (and I have a stockpile in my garage just in case :) ). Function over fashion for me in this case...
