@sadlobster1 Well Hitler didn't do it personally. But it existed occult organisations and societies in Nazi Germany, like the Thule Society which many highranking nazis were member off.

I read that the producers had a choice: Nazis or guns. They chose an easy substitute to Nazis (remember, this is a fictional world in which maybe there was not Nazis) over having "lazer" guns which would cheapen the historical context even more and would be even more of a headbanger to the older viewers. Imagine the outrage if they had lazer Nazis.

Imagine if the Nazis did what Red Skull was doing in this minisode. I don't think any army of the 40's or 21st century would be able to stand against legions of mythological beasts attacking them.
Think of it; if humankind is barely able to succeed in an exorcism, how can we fare against the likes of frost giants, dragons and other supernatural creatures.
One final thing; before people start thinking that I'm talking crazy, it's known that Hitler study about the occult in WW2
