  • It bothers me when people consider Oklahoma the Midwest. It's Southern by heritage as well as geography. If anything, the correct term is south central or southwest. Either way, Oklahoma is considered the South.

  • @1234OKC I agree; I consider it the Southwest. "Heartland" would fit the northern part of the state, bordering Kansas. Thankfully, there's nothing Midwest about OKC, or Oklahoma!

  • Oklahoma is in the west in the mindset of most Americans because of its history and how it developed. There's just no getting around that.

  • @Messier83 I imagine that it's similar to living at the East Coast beaches, where once you live there a year or more, you realize its just one big tourist trap.

  • Good luck! I left Las Vegas 3 years ago for South Dakota. I could not take life in Vegas any more. You are right- once you are off the strip, its a big shit hole!

  • Down South is were its at! Oklahoma City is Incredible!!!

  • I found this video helpful because I am a Midwesterner, who likes the Midwest, who must relocate. OKC sounds like a place that I would feel comfortable in.
