Diamondbacks actually went 92-70 in 2001.

My favorite moments: 2006 when the Twins clinched the division on the last day of the year (i went to the game), 2009 AL Central Tiebreaker when Casilla hit a walkoff single, Jay Bruce's walk off hr to put the Reds in the playoffs, Puckett's game winning hr in game 6 of the '91 World Series, the last 3 innings of game 6 of the 2011 World Series, when Joey Votto hit a walk off hr this past year in the 14th (i went to the game), and going to see the Twins end the A's 20 game winning streak in '02.

I was rooting for the Rangers but you gotta admit the Cards run was pretty historic. Non-sequiter: Kirk Gibson's 1988 home run is the best baseball moment!
-
i think the cardinals 2011 season will be up there on the most memorable baseball moments ever.
-
Bobby Thompson's "shot heard round the world in 1951.
Joe Carter's home run to beat the Phillies in 1993.
Kirk Gibson's home run off of Eckersley - game 1 of the 1988 world series.
Reggie Jackson hitting the transformer on the roof at Tiger stadium in the 1971 asg.

tim lincecums playoffs performance last year, roy halladays perfect game last postseason, edgar renterias homer last year, bonds hitting 756, jeters 2000 hit. giants fan here but solid list, you forget about all the crazy things that happen in baseball till you see one of these countdowns and such.

Good list, I can think a few more. Oakland had a good staff, but the 1971 Baltimore Orioles had Dave McNally and Cy Young winners Mike Cuellar & Jim Palmer. In 1971 alone, they went 21 wins, 20 wins, 20 wins and a FOURTH pitcher Pat Dobson who won 20 THAT year. Randy Johnson's perfect game against the Atlanta Braves was so dominant like nothing I had ever seen before. Milt Papas' near perfecto when he had 3-2 on the 27th hitter and the ump called Ball 4! He got the no-hitter though.
NOTE: did not expect this video to get a lot of views, i didn't put a lot of effort into this vid and these memories are only ones that i remember watching, so don't hate lol :p.

My favorite baseball moments: Kirk Gibson smoking a Goose Gossage fastball into the upper deck at Tiger Stadium on Oct. 14, 1984 to seal game 5 and the championship. The Red Sox coming down from 3-0 to win the ALCS 4-3 against the Yankees. Justin Verlander's two no-hitters. Kirk Gibson's homerun in Game 1 of the 88 World Series. Henry Aaron's 715 home run. Pete Rose's 4,192 hit. Anytime the Yankees lose...

Man i had forgotten about that Cubs fan, poor guy, his intention was to catch the ball, he never thought that would become a nightmare. Cool list, i would add the subway series, Cal Ripken breaking ´Lou Guerigh´s record.
