En rêve: Nocturne, S. 207 (1885)

A late piece for solo piano by Hungarian composer Franz Liszt (1811-1886), dedicated to August Stradal. Its ethereal, delicate atmosphere perfectly conveys the sense of dreaming and mental preoccupation suggested by the title.

Pianist: André Laplante

  • @44STYLE187 Really? Is that true? I never knew that. It's very Chopinesque, and it's strange because his late Piano works take on a completefly different sound to his early ones.

  • simply beautiful :) Love it !!!

  • @genomos90

More like Chopin processed through the postmodern neoclassical hatemachine ;) :D

  • @44STYLE187

interesting but confusing at the same time.. compared to other late works from Liszt this sounds very "chopinesque" if you ask me..you hear otherwise?

  • it was his last piece, written a few days before he died..

  • Free notes of this piece you will find in : FREEMUSICBOOKS . COM (there many notes for free!!!)

  • great piece. makes me want more liszt.

  • Someone take the mic away from his mouth!!
