A judge has sentenced a Wisconsin couple to 10 years probation and 30 days a year in jail for the next six years for praying instead of seeking medical care for their dying 11-year-old daughter. (Oct. 6)

I apologise, I realise that in my last comment I started with the premise that you would be an unreasonable person.

I did not say anything about evil, I asked why you need to invoke god when a doctor is the one doing the work. If a god was required for healing wouldn't atheists be less healthy or die more often?

I also dismiss your allegation that I'm not searching for truth. I'm searching for the truth in a reasoned and rational manner. Maybe you would like to do the same?

This is child abuse. Where is the murder charge and the endangring children charge, neglect? So the parents didn't know their faith was not enough! God expects the one to be healed to believe in Jesus and to make the healing effective that person to be healed has to have faith in healing in prayer & have expectant faith established. If the child is too young to understand this principle she could be delivered. I mean by Death. The parents should have helped her by going to the Hospital not to lessen their faith but to give the maximum opportunity for their child to live!

@cyrdesign A lot of the time we don't understand God's will, but we don't have the wisdom He has or know all the factors involved probably till we get to heaven or... for some the other way around..Our job is to protect children in any case who are struggling with some illness as they are under God's care but also the parents have to get all the help they can even medical assistance by law.

Seek a doctor's help and pray as you go when it comes to children and adults. God can use a doctor to help diagnose and view the dangers and the parents can get God's help along with the doctors. A case like this deserves all the help they can get especially when the system demands it & offer no guidelines for parents who have faith. The system are a bit dumb about these kinds of things too along with Christian parents who are not desperate enough to hear from Jesus on these kinds of problems.
