The crew provides "leap frog" support during the first day, and the large Cedar Breaks climb on the second day. This means roadside handoffs. The crew car may directly follow and provide on the bike support starting the first night.
The time is 1 hour early (PST time, while the race is MST). Temperature at the start line at 7 AM was 90F. Temperature at the finish at 6:30 PM was 106F. Temperatures only dropped into the 50s, but with occasional hail and heavy rain. Adam finished in second with a total time of 35:36, and battled severe stomach issues in the first afternoon and night. The Hoodoo 500 is a 517 mile non-stop race, with just under 30,000 feet of cumulative elevation gain. Details at hoodoo500.com.
