Not even a good imitation of Corbusier. Stop comparing yourself. Fascist architecture is dead.

If you learn from the past, study it very hard, you learn about the essence.
Thye essence of infinity is change, the essence of life is change.
And here you are, trying to keep everything the same, even making it worse because if you'd learn from Nature / Existence you'd see it has a perfect talent of getting everything in the right proportions.
History shows that people too often do not see the difference between leaders and misleaders, untill it's too late.

Architects that "find their own way" usually are bad Architects with experimental bad projects.
You learn from the past. Its is not always safe to pave your own way.
Leader always have followers.
Followers can become leaders.

Who made you architectural critique of the world?
What qualifications, education, achievements do you have to be a architectural judge of my work or others?
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder?
One mans junk, is another mans treasure?
Thanks for your comments. Good Architecture is made to be controversial.

Everyone learn from the Masters, whether Le Corbusier, Meier or Mies. Its how you use the information from the Masters that matters. I use a grid system in designs and planning. It is not the same proportion as Le Corbusier 3'6". Le Corbusier proportions do not fit the American standards of living.
Thank for putting me in good company with the Masters. Your comments are appreciated. I know what I am doing and I feel I am on firm ground.

Decorative is not a dirty word. Its just ages with time.Iits whats in one year and out the next. Architecture should be ever lasting. That's why we can have a conversation about The Villa Savory, The Farnsworth House, The Smith house, The Empire State Building, The Chrysler Building and my Museum House...... :)

First there was Le Corbusier and Bauhaus, then came the gray, Stalinist, cheep looking Brutalism... basically the same thing... large concrete surfaces and row upon row of soulless windows. I don't care how fancy is the paint that covers a featureless concrete wall, it is still a featureless concrete wall. We already saw all this kind of stuff... isn't it time to move on? Perhaps one of these days somebody will dare to bring back beauty.

"Beauty is in the eyes of the Beholder. "Architecture is and will always be about designing the space. The harmony is being able to combine the geometrical forms, space and the function .. Le Corbusier was a great Architect, if you really look at his work with an open mind. Le Corbusier avoided "decorative" architecture that fades with time. You can still look at Corbusier, Meier and Modern Architecture and there is a skill and talent applied the the project. Its in harmony.

Hi I'm still in high school, and I am very interested in architecture. If i may ask, how many years did you spend in school?
Ajxskyline 1 year ago
@Ajxskyline
I did the typical 1 to 12th grade, where by 12th grade I had the typical drafting and construction knowledge. You should make sure that you have the typical construction knowledge, they don't always teach that in college. You should understand residential construction. You should also know a computer program like Revit and AutoCAD. Arch college is 5 years. If you don't have the background you may want to do a 2 year college then 5. You have to really like architecture though.
