This movie is the first of three disco dance/break dance based movies by the trio of Director B. Subhash, Music Director Bappi Lahiri and Actor Mithun Chakraborty.
the other two movies are 'Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki' (1984) and 'Dance Dance' (1987). Though all the three ppl believe Dance Dance to be their best among the three films, Disco Dancer is usually chosen by the critics as the best in terms of the movie as well as music
