@hartoz Lucky australins your pet cleans up all the insects. But what when all the insects are eaten by that spider? Spider will be hungry when your garden runs out of giant beetles.

These are friendly and non venomous, they are only fatal on mosquitos and other flying bugs

its a perspective. that spider looks like a night spider. yes, they occasionally come out during the day. what its eating appears to be christmas beetle, indicating summer. spiders get big in summer as it is. Christmas beetles only get to about 3-4 inches long. The spider is about the same size. Not bad for a night spider...
To Trix, if you even listened to the video you'd be able to hear that this was taken in australia. they have their own melody.

@trixielikespie Australia has bigger spiders than this, checkout Golden Orb Weavers, they can catch small birds in thier webs. Also, this is no Hoax, I filmed it myself in my back yard using a Canon MV700, the kid calling in the background is my Son who is calling my dog (also named Spider (its a long story).
