This lovely country rock ballad was originally recorded by the Bay Area rock group The Doobie Brothers back in 1972. It was part of the LP that featured their biggest hits. China Grove and Long Train Running. It was sung by Patrick Simmons, one of the founding members of the group. I hope you enjoy my cover version and the romantic mood this song presents.

  • Great cover of an awesome song!

Added to my Exceptional Covers playlist. Thank-you :)

  • thanks for the nice words and for watching

  • OK, guys, this is a karaoke performance. All TheLivingroomSinger did was sing. Not badly, at that, but this certain does not qualify as a "cover." Love the song, anyway. I don't mean to take anything away from your performance, here, but you should straighten these guys out.

  • Well, I gave it my best! ha ha Singing from the livingroom limits my ability to really hire a band and go for it in another fashion, but I love the song and tried to give the song some life with my video as well. Thanks for watching.

  • Excellent cover!

  • thank you for this very kind comment, it is appreciated, its a great song!

  • Easily the best cover of this song. I came trying to find the original Doobie Brothers version, but I think I like yours just as much.

  • Kind friend, this is one of the best compliments I have recieved on this video! Thank you sincerely for being so candid and kind at the same time. I work hard at covering these classic rock ballads in a classy, professional manner, so your words of support are very welcome.

  • Normally, I hate covers, usually done by no talent wanna-be bands,, but this is awesome,, couldnt be better if it was the Dobbie Brothers themselves,, congratulations and thanks for a great rendition of a great song
