The Story of Naaman
2 Kings, Chapter 5
Although biblically correct, we took liberal creative license with the video (i.e.; pyramids are not in Israel, etc...).
My children attend a Christian homeschool co-op. My eldest daughter is in her second year of Spanish and their final assignment for this school year was to translate a biblical story and present it to the class in a creative way.
This is my daughter's presentation.
Basically, Naaman was a great soldier but he was also a leper. His servant told him of a prophet in Israel who could cure him. Naaman asked the King of Aram to send him there.
The King of Israel was mad though. He thought he was supposed to cure Naaman. But then the Prophet Elisha told the king to have Naaman come and see him instead.
So Naaman went to see Elisha and Elisha told him to go wash seven times in the river Jordan and his flesh would be cleaned. Naaman was angry because he thought the rivers in his own homeland were just as good as the rivers in Israel. But his servant begged him to do as the prophet requested.
So Naaman went to the river Jordan as did as the prophet suggested and he was cured from his leprosy.
Naaman returns to the prophet Elisha and told him "Now I know that there is no God in all earth, except in Israel."
I should also state that we are not Christian, but we attend this homeschool co-op because it is open to everyone even though it is Christian based. We fully understand that and so we do the assignments as assigned as it is our choice to be there.
